Eternal Eden 2 confirmed.

May 11, 2009 – Following the massive success of Eternal Eden on PC, Blossomsoft will continue to expand its brand new franchise with a new and exciting sequel.
Eternal Eden 2 will focus on Japhee, a female protagonist who possess a mysterious clairvoyance gift. Thanks to her special ability, the player will be allowed to influence parts of the game by reading the future through special artifacts. Just like its predecessor, this new installment will feature highly addictive game play, plus a number of new mini-games that will keep old-school RPG fans busy through these upcoming winter holidays!

The logo isn’t made by me, it’s made by my ex-coworker at Ziggurat Interactive, Chris Hildenbrand! He’s great indeed :)

I’d like to have an ‘automatic gameplay’ feature. The game will play itself after hitting the New Game button! That would be sooo awesome! Like a movie!
I guess it could be the first game adaption that really kicks ass.

wow Kinta, I never thought about it.
But we have to admit that a feature like this would be cool as an in-game tutorial.

Nintendo presented a similar feature for future games some while ago, too. It is meant to be a help for people that get stuck. They can just enable automatic play and the game plays automatically (as the name already implied ^^).
It will also be possible to start the game at certain checkpoints with all the equipment you need.
Until today it’s only a concept but I believe they will implement it into their games soon.

To tell the truth even if it’s an attractive feature I’m not very interested with this kind of stuff.
In the indie context, it’s simply better make a solid walkthrough and sell it $4.99 rather than spending extra money/energy on in-game features that will just turn players lazy and prevent them to experience the deepness of the gameplay. Even worst, it kills the possibility to make upcoming customers to look for our website to receive hints and boost our community by the same occasion (which is very advantageous for future promotions and deals).
Our community expanded considerably thanks to the secrets in Eternal Eden. It was very fun to answer people’s questions in real-time rather than giving everything on a silver-plate. I wish the same thing to happen for Eternal Eden 2.

Elder, we hunger for another news from your life/development :-D
Btw I totally agree that this feature would ruin it, and imo 1st post was just a joke :) on the other hand, someone could try making interactive video(won’t call it a game) with that idea in mind, rather than game, and imo that ain’t good at indie scene(am not saying it could’t work, but it’s 2 much work and result is at least risky, if not completely worthless the effort put in it). This paradox was nicely summarized in backorders post about innovation at indie scene :D

Don’t forget to include mouse events to ease the casual player’s gameplay.
Remember also that the story is that makes an old-style RPG game addictive..
Thanks :)

I forgot to mention one thing completely, while ı was playing the game I laso started a band called nine inch nails and “right where it belongs” was my favourite track back and then i just loved how the song matched and fit perfectly into the eternal eden world. You know that “reflections of your own” idea was sooo creative in my opinion, just wanted to congratulate you with that creativity. It also fits my world belief so , so I loved the game. ;D

Opps I didn’t see this one! sorry,I will wait
Hey by the way! your idea that when certain amount of monsters are killed the area is clear really rocks! when I clear them out I love exploring the areas freely without those unwanted meaningless encounters. For god’s sake! how many hours are wasted with meaningless battles! I hope you use the same formula for your upcoming game! Good luck and keep up the good work!
by the way your game is the first game in its type to be worth replaying!
