I have not completed the game so I don’t know how it ends. But I am not a fan of sequels for sequels sake. If you can fit an amazing story into Eternal Eden 2 that fits with Eternal Eden then I am for it.
The Eternal Eden series will follow a similar pattern to the Final Fantasy series. It’s to say a different universe and a new story with a totally new bunch of characters.

Would love to see EE2, but please, please, PLEASE dont rush it, have patience to add the little touches that make the game a masterpiece. Even if we need to wait for much more than an year (in this case, dont count this comment).
In all honesty, if you liked EE for what it could offer you’re going to like EE2 too. You have to expect EE2 to be in a similar degree of budget though. I still cannot make a mega jump in term of innovation/quality/etc, but I will definitely work hard to deliver a great experience and atmosphere :)
Let’s suppose that I decide to do EE2, I am hoping to start working on Project Stellar right after it and aim a new and bigger level of quality.
I am definitly signing this petition! Love Eternal Eden… more please! Elder, don’t let your fans down. This franchise is a winner! Great characters, great gameplay and great storyline!
I’D LOVE AN EE2! And if I post like 72 times in this thread, would that count? LOLOL just kidding I know it prolly won’t but EE’s top 1 on my fave games so I’m really excited to have an EE2. Wee!
I am signing this petition to get Eternal Eden 2 being released although I was looking forward to project stellar and watching this board for updates on it constantly.
I am sure your upcomming work will be as excelent as your previous one no matter what project your working on. And maybe the creative processes you go thorugh making the new eternal eden will jog some even better ideas for project stellar that are not currently in place.
oh man dear elder, i just freakingl oved this game making style of yours, seriously,i have been a huge fan of breath of fire series and while i was playing i was afraid of that i will like this serie more, and the ideas, the quotes were not childish where you proved us that Junior-rpg games can also teach wonderful things which actually comes from personal experiences i think, and the parallel stories you got from Eden and other and the whole main idea of eden, the real heaven(eleven :P) being in our minds as how we create it, i just really loved the game and finished twice,, im really looking forward for your further products/games because i’m sure they will be a gem to play, not a waste of time like casual games nowadays.. really you should do it and i’m sure you’ll succeed like how one of the members say in the glitch endzone…
Do it for the lolz! XD
I think EE2 would be awesome. Especially, since you already included the Golem and Behemoth in EE1 if you could include the Leviathan (most likely the fish that swallowed Jonah) and Ziz.
Anyway, I want to see more of Downey. Especially if he’s still a vampire. (And if you need any odd vampire tid-bits just e-mail me. I went through a period where I was obsessed with vampires so I can tell you alternative ways to kill or repel them, how to trap them in their graves, and even tell you about the Dhampire.)
Again, thank you very much for the new comments :)
@Jami
Thank you for the information! As a veteran of RPGs I already know about those links haha
Sadly Eternal Eden 2 will not have any connection with Eternal Eden 1 in term of storyline.
But don’t worry about Downey, I’m planning a special chapter for EE1 (and should be free – or almost free). I can’t tell when it’s going to be released though, right now I don’t feel inspired.
@Mikagon
Your comment is fantastic :) I’m a big lover of Breath of Fire too.
@Kerilithia
Don’t worry Project Stellar is still under planning. I just need an easier project for my Globe Trotter Challenge and EE2 is the perfect candidate :)
Eternal Eden I is really addictive and awe inspiring. The plot deviates from the ordinary because the turn of events are quite astute. Most game developers would not allow heroes to die specially if these heroes were trained vigorously by the players; usually they will just go missing or kidnapped by some villains/monsters but in Eternal Eden the players are presented with concepts part of their reality (i.e death). The philosophy involved in the game is also clearly imparted with such short conversations making the game more interesting to play. I hope you will work on Eternal Eden II.
My only question is, if its not going to be a direct sequel to Eternal Eden then why call it Eternal Eden 2. Why not give it its own name. Unless of coarse it is going to have some correlation with the previous game?
@underground06

btw i´m from germany and i found your game by fortune !! it was such a great game i really loved it : ) so i told my friends !! you got a german fanbase dude :D
I loved eternal eden, I played many, many RPG’s, but this one is one of the most addicting games I’ve ever played. You are a GOD!!! You have to make Eternal Eden II, I beg you.lol, And you can keep the same characters anda make a different storyline. All you need is a little bit of imagination And you sure have that!! Do it.
Just finished eternal eden. Even with all the fancy pants games with super graphics coming out, it’s the most fun I’ve had playing a game on my pc in years. Love the game and can’t wait for a second one.
What I really like about EE is the overlapping of the maps, but I am relatively new to RPG, so I am not sure if this is a new concept.
However, you don’t need to let this petition pressure you, you can start on any other project if you don’t feel like continuing EE. I’ll be waiting for your next masterpiece. =D
Just yesterday I beat the game. Out of all the games that I played, Eternal Eden was THE BEST. Unlike other games this game requires a lot of thinking. I have to admit the puzzles were really hard. The graphics were really good. What i loved the most about the game was its music. My mother also fell in love with this game. She usually hates video games.
I’m Playing this game and i found that is wonderfull… i found it yesterday and i’m loving it… it remind’s me the old rpg’s in SNES…. sorry for my english but i’m from México… it would be very nice to have a second game like this… :D
It would be really great to have a new Eternal Eden, I really
like the first, which I would like the add-on if it mades a day.
In short if there is a new game of eternal Eden I buy volontier
Are you serious?!?! You must make Eternal Eden 2!! I’m a huge fan of the first one and I would die happy, if you can make the second one!! OH, PLEEEEAAAASSSSEEEE!!! I would love you forever!! PLEASE!!
I’m in for the count. I would love to see a sequel. I have no doubt it will be a hit.
My kids and I love Eternal Eden. Out of all the games we have, it’s definitely my favorite. There’s nothing about it I don’t like. Some people would prefer 3D graphics or voices for the characters, but that’s not a big thing with me. I don’t mind oldschool features. If it makes the game easier to produce and thus more likely to make a sequel happen, then I say stick with it.
The graphics are beautiful, the music is, too, and the game play never gets boring. The problem-solving aspect keeps it challenging. It’s hard to believe such an amazing game still can be made nowadays.
If you guys are keeping track of what your fans want, then for the record, add me and my two sons to the list of people who are screaming for a sequel.
Portals first! Finally got around to finishing EE a few days ago, fun game :) A mini-sequel/expansion about Downey might be a fun idea too if you’ve got any original EE ideas left
The first part is realy wonderful!! With great pleasure i’ve passed through the game. “Do you people wish to play Eternal Eden 2 within 2009?” by all means, yes ^_^
well as i see we already exceed 100 comments because your game just rocks man!!!!!!!!!! anything you want for eternal eden 2 i think i will donate you something of course to help the situation! just e-mail me
well the number has exceeded the 100comment but this is game is too cool not be published… its would be nice (a suggestion) that in the futureupcoming game there would be more like of a sidequests/sidelevels like there was turtle and bounty hunting :P it was really fun, plus it would give additional hours of fun gaming :P
I just finished Eternal Eden and it was awesome!!!! I haven’t been this excited about a new game since I played Aveyond for the first time. I actually missed going to sleep for two night so that I could finish because it was so enthralling. The storyline and gameplay are magnificent and the artwork is beautiful. I can’t wait to play Eternal Eden 2. You rock Elder! Thank you for creating such a wonderfully exciting game.
‘elder prince’..
do you know how much i enjoying eternal eden?
it’s countless! i’ve never get bored when i was played eternal eden then i almost cry when i was in the end zone.. because you put fans club for noah..
you’re GENIUS!!
i also like the graphic art that you creat..
please, DO YOUR BEST FOR ETERNAL EDEN II!!
i always count on you..
I mean Eternal Eden is so awesome that the second game being better than the original is a real difficult task! If anyone can get it done, it’s probably you.
I look forward to episode 2! Among tested many games, this is the only absolute beauty of the story, gameplay and difficulty of the various quest. In short it is simply spectacular!
heya i just finshed the first hot everything on it and it was an amazing game to play i love im a big fan of rpg games and it was awsome and i want eternal eden 2 brought out so bad i cant wait for it any longer lol please give me another one of these great games oif yurs to play
WHEN U GONNA release the eternal eden 2…? and what happen to downey in the end of the games….?
i’m really looking forward to look what happen to downey in that really cold place and be forgotten by its own best friend Noah…..?
YES! i just finished the first one, and it was the first rpg i’ve ever beaten. ever. the weapons and spells were perfectly placed on the ladder of achievement, and i actually had things that did damage to rishi when i got there! that’s a problem with a lot of games, i think – the fact that gettting the spells or equipment they need to have it be possible to defeat the main baddy seems nearly impossible.
anyway – tangent…
please please please please!!
i also noticed the western lords thing. this has my ultimate approval as well. :)
Do it man! I’ve already played what I’m assuming is half of the first Eternal Eden and this game kicks ass! I mean, it is so simple, yet so well designed and addicting to play, its been hard to NOT give my attention to this game.
First question, are you playing the real version or a pirate version? I’m asking because some pirate versions still have a bug that prevent to break the pots.
I’ve been a fan of yours since i played Eternal Eden and i’m still playing after having it completed about 40-60 times the story is just great.
i have 1 question about Eternal Eden 2.
I can see in your blog the pictures there is a pic where a character that looks like Noah is in, here come’s my Question.
Will Noah in anyway be a playable character agian in Eternal eden 2 or will it only be the Girl Japhee. both ways i think it would be a great game. BUT!! i think it’s a shame not to bend some of the Eternal Eden story into this. no matter what im still gonna have the game xD
The story of EE2 will not be linked to EE1 – except for recurring key elements and ‘surprising’ Easter eggs ^^
Japhee and Rhys are going to be the main two protagonists in EE2.
Thank you for commenting Niklas!
P.S: whoa, are you sure it’s possible to play a game 40-60 times in one year and a half? ha-ha
It’s probably the same for me with Chrono Trigger but in 15 years :D
My blog is a lively journey in my professional and artistic life as a game and software designer, including the human and emotional side of it. It’s filled with joy, passion, challenge, optimism, sincerity, justice, and sometimes with obstacles and grief. I hope dear fans that you will enjoy my modest journey!

OH, I am so excited after this annoucement.

YES! i just finished the first one, and it was the first rpg i’ve ever beaten. ever. the weapons and spells were perfectly placed on the ladder of achievement, and i actually had things that did damage to rishi when i got there! that’s a problem with a lot of games, i think – the fact that gettting the spells or equipment they need to have it be possible to defeat the main baddy seems nearly impossible.
anyway – tangent…
please please please please!!
i also noticed the western lords thing. this has my ultimate approval as well. :)

Hi the Elder
Please answer this Question.
Niklas
Elder
July 28th, 2010 at 8:03 pm
The story of EE2 will not be linked to EE1 – except for recurring key elements and ‘surprising’ Easter eggs ^^
Japhee and Rhys are going to be the main two protagonists in EE2.
Thank you for commenting Niklas!
P.S: whoa, are you sure it’s possible to play a game 40-60 times in one year and a half? ha-ha
It’s probably the same for me with Chrono Trigger but in 15 years :D

Don’t pay attention to the airship at this moment, you will be able to use it near the end of the game and you’re still early in the game.
