In honor of these first shots of Dream Venturos, I wished to give a special ‘E3’ mood like in the old times.

Aaah… I keep very good memories of the golden years when the only teasers offered to us by paper magazines (and on Internet later) were blurry images. I remember clearly when Electronic Gaming Monthly and Game Fan published the first screenshots of Zelda 3,  Final Fantasy 3 (aka FF6 in Japan) and Chrono Trigger. Even if most of the time the quality was mediocre, those images made me dream for days; weeks; months. I spent all my time scrutinizing every detail. There was an intense vibe of mystery hooked to that ancient practice. I was a teenager at this epoch!  Sniff sniff, I’m nostalgic.

Nowadays it’s no more the same. We evolved a lot. In this current generation we’re continuously spoiled with extensive high-res video trailers. I’m not even sure I’m appreciating the rewards like before.

Well.

I took the following snapshots directly on my Nintendo DSi LCD displays using my camcorder. I did my best to make them look mediocre :P Bad angles, bad lightning and bad sharpness.

The sprites are drawn by Dorian (aka sonic_reaper), the background images are drawn by me. We’re pouring genuine efforts into this dev as you can see. It still early so what you see is subject to change. Oh, those characters revealed on these images are Verne Levinson and Sigmund Liechty.

The title logo is provisional; we’ll do something more eye-catchy later.

Enjoy! Feedbacks/praises are welcomed– especially IF you want more :P :P :P (joking)

P.S: Dream Venturos is intended for PC even if the snapshots show a DSi, I just love watching the graphical results on such amazing handheld screens. That said, I’m also planning to port the series on Nintendo DS later, so those teasers aren’t so much off-topic.
