Right now I'm really glad that I missed that whole console war back then completely. I had a SNES and later a Playstation and I was happy.

If you like the AVGN I recommend the Nostalgic Critic to you. He reviews movies and shows from our childhood and I like his style a bit more. (and check out the Nostalgic Chick, too. She's darn hot! )

I remember how my best friend in jr. high and I traded my snes and his genesis for a year. Pretty much the only games I got into were "Beyond Oasis" and "Phantasy Star 4". It made me really glad I had chosen an snes instead of a genesis. That's about my only memory from the "console wars". Once FF7 came out on the playstation, that was my perception of the end of the "console wars". Squaresoft had decided exactly where all the RPG money would be going for the next decade.
